W Retreat and Spa Maldives receives top awards

W Retreat & Spa, Maldives have announced that it has received five awards from Starwood Hotels and Resorts Asia/Pacific Division’s 2008 “Best of the Best” awards.

The luxury hotel was among 140 properties in the division considered for the 31 awards given out. Categories for the awards were based on production, guest feedback and revenue numbers and the winning 5 awards was a great success, the resort has revealed.
Awards that W Retreat & Spa won included the ‘Hotel of the Year’; ‘Best Sales & Marketing Team’; ‘and Guest Satisfaction Index ’; ‘Rev PAR Improvement (Regional)’; and ‘Starwood Preferred Guest Recognition’.

General Manager Brian Segrave celebrating the resort’s success said it was the direct result of every one’s hard work and efforts and that they were all very proud. He also thanked to all who contributed to the enormous success.

Director of Sales, Sarah Bisa, said she was pleased with the ‘Best Sales & Marketing Team’ award, and credited the sales team for putting their private lives on hold and turning challenges into opportunities.

W Retreat & Spa, Maldives was also recently awarded the Best Overseas Resort in Australia’s Luxury & Travel Lifestyle and Best New Hotel/Resort in Travel Weekly Asia.
